WITH their new EP Extended Play set to arrive in the next month, Glasgow’s Baby Strange have unveiled a third preview track by the name of ‘Young Team’.

Less urgent than the tracks that came before it, the trio’s latest offering opens with flashes of reggae dub, groove laden basslines and an unassailable swagger. Reminiscent of The Clash at their most creatively inspired, it isn’t long before ‘Young Team’ bursts with the kind of fiery, singalong chorus that we’re used to hearing from the trio.

Paying heed to Glasgow gang culture and the disaffected youth of today, ‘Young Team’ is engrained with the same seething frustration and scorching vigour present in ‘Motormind’ and ‘No Coin To Play’. It’s fair to say that all signs point to another fantastic release from the Glasgow favourites when Extended Play is unveiled on 14th July via their own Public Records imprint.
