AS one of Glasgow’s most prodigious talents, the rise of C Duncan has been nothing short of incredible over the last couple of years. Ready to embark on a UK tour with indie giants Elbow, the multi-talented musician has unveiled ‘Like You Do’ as his latest single.

A fine example of the more expansive and progressive sound that Duncan experiments with throughout his second album The Midnight Sun, the track is a hypnotically majestic affair driven by skittering beats and sparkling synths. Haunting in its spiralling effect, there’s a wonderful contrast at play between the ethereal sonic layering and troubled lyrics as he sings: “It’s clear to me/ it’s clear to me/ you’re suffering/ you’re suffering.”

Duncan said: “This, for me, is one of the more unsettling songs on the album. It’s about being deprived of satisfaction and suffering as a result”. With each layer however, the song becomes gradually more uplifting; as if to offer light against the oppressive darkness.

‘Like You Do’ will be released as part of special deluxe package featuring another brand new track called ‘Nothing At All’ and three remixes. It is set for digital release on 17th March via FatCat Records.
