WHILST he may have been the sole member of the band to refrain from doing so, The Strokes’ guitar virtuoso Nick Valensi has finally been allured by the side project and has began to tour with new band CRX.
With a debut album produced by none other than Queens Of The Stone Age/Eagles Of Death Metal’s Josh Homme, the band have provided us a taste of what to expect with the vibrant ‘Ways To Fake It.’
Recalling the FM ready moments of 80’s artists such as The Cars, John Cougar Mellencamp and The J Geils Band due to its distinctly poppy sheen, ‘Ways To Fake It’ is an exhilarating slice of good natured rock and roll that retains the mesmeric guitar playing that’s became a staple of Valensi’s sound since the First Impressions Of Earth era.
The band’s debut album New Skin will be released on the 28th October.
