AHEAD of their Tenement Trail debut this weekend, Dead Pretties have followed up the exhilarating ‘Confidence’ with another stellar single called ‘Water’.

Starting off on a more sombre note than any of the singles that have come before it, their latest track reinforces their fast-growing reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting bands; showing that behind their notoriously chaotic and ramshackle approach, there lies some incredibly dynamic songwriting abilities.

From its low-key opening, it doesn’t take long for the song to burst to life as frontman Jacob Slater’s venomous snarl takes over alongside an onslaught of barbed guitar lines and crashing rhythms. Wonderfully melodic yet brash and boisterous, the song is sure to go down a storm when the band bring their notoriously riotous and unpredictable live show to Broadcast this Saturday as part of this year’s Tenement Trail line-up.

Speaking about the track the vocalist said “it’s a song about deliberate self-destruction, allowing something to slowly kill you because you think the kick you get from it makes you feel more alive than anything else.
