BACK in 2015, much-hyped Australian indie-rock outfit DMA’S stopped by TTV HQ to deliver one of our most iconic live sessions to date featuring their now renowned hit single ‘Lay Down’. Now nearly five years later and with the backing of a devoted fanbase all over the UK and beyond, the trio are preparing for the release of their third album ‘The Glow’.

Rescheduled to drop on 10th July, they have already given us an inkling of what to expect with the release of ‘Life Is A Game of Changing’ and ‘Silver’. Today the band have shared a third preview single and it’s the album’s anthemic title track.

Driven by an upbeat rhythm section, the track features all the hallmarks of their signature indie-sound- the distorted guitar riffs, Tommy O’Dell’s distinctive euphoric howl and the buoyant, anthemic chorus. It’s one though that has evolved over time thanks to some fine-tuning.

The band’s frontman said: “Some parts were written when we were going through break-ups and others were written more recently when our lives were very different. For me it’s a snapshot of where we were and where we’re at now. That’s the reason why it’s one of my favourites.”

The band’s upcoming album is said to mark a shift in approach as they take on the guitar-meets-electro hybrid of latter day New Order. A shift that was prescient on previous single ‘Life Is A Game of Changing’, the trio have enhanced their anthemic indie-rock sound with big beat dynamics and sun-kissed Balearic dance vibes.

Produced and mixed by Grammy award winning producer Stuart Price (Madonna, The Killers, New Order) in the historic Westlake Recording Studios, it is available to pre-order on the band’s website ahead of release on 10th July.

Meanwhile, their May UK & Ireland headline tour has been postponed with a new announcement on rescheduled dates expected shortly.
