Flatbush-Zombies-Redeye-To-Paris-560x5c60 (1)THE BAND:
One of the most unique and original rap groups to emerge in recent years, Brooklyn’s Flatbush Zombies have became known for their intense beats and their hazy, drug fuelled style. An integral part of the ‘Beast Coast’ movement that is intent upon restoring New York hip-hop to its former glory, the trio have released a new track featuring one of the UK’s premier grime MC’s.

THE SOUND: ‘RedEye To Paris’ features ambient textures juxtaposed with harsh boom bap drums that create a notably sinister aesthetic,  whilst Meechy Darko, Erick Arc Elliot and Zombie Juice deliver stellar verses laced with their regular narcotics references and disturbingly vivid imagery. In terms of Skepta’s guest verse, it can only serve to continue to increase his profile within American Culture; incorporating elements of his signature style whilst refining some of the rougher edges to ensure he can be comprehended by US audiences.
