AFTER first teaming up on Romy’s dancefloor filler ‘Lifetime’, Fred Gibson and The xx frontwoman have joined forces for another banger called ‘Lights Out’.
This one also features London DJ HAAi, who also happened to remix ‘Lifetime’, and is said to be partially inspired by a wild night at Manchester’s famed Warehouse Project dance club in 2019.
Initially written with the xx in mind, all three artists began to work on the track and develop it into a set-closing anthem – it finds Romy’s delicate vocals bathed in euphoric beats. It’s also the first in a monthly series of club-focused collaborations Fred Again…
