FOR
a band who have yet to release their debut album, Fronteers have had a fairly significant output so far. A string of releases over the past couple of years paired with a relentless touring schedule has seen support for the band continue to grow, while a number of notable support slots and festival appearances this summer have also done their reputation no harm. Keen to end their breakthrough year on a high, the four-piece have dropped a new single by the name of ‘Next Time I’m Around’, once again showcasing their knack for catchy indie pop music with a fresh-faced charm.

Driven by relentless percussion and dynamic guitars, their vibrant harmonies once again sit at the centre of the track. As if to capture the energy of early Britpop, there are flecks of nostalgia laced throughout but their playful lyrical observations and bright vocals inject a youthful spark that keeps their sound decidedly fresh. They never miss an opportunity for a big hook though, once again showing off their ability to write infectious indie pop melodies.

Set to head out on another short UK tour throughout November and December, ‘Next Time I’m Around’ marks Fronteers’ final release before they go into the studio to work on their debut album, due for come out next year.
