FONTAINES D.C. frontman Grian Chatten shares contemplative debut solo single ‘The Score’ released through Partisan Records.

A shifted creative process in the omission of collaboration from other members of the Dublin post-punks allowed Chatten the opportunity to display a sense of sincerity and intimacy within his solitary reflection.

Commenting on his inspirational surroundings during initial writing stages of the track, Chatten explains: “‘The Score’ is a heavyweight bated breath of lust. I wrote it in Madrid between an electric fan and a dying plant and I intend to keep it there. It was inspired by sugar and sunset.”

Providing a fresh sound to the acclaimed work of Chatten within Brit Award-winning and Grammy nominated band Fontaines D.C., it’s no surprise that ‘The Score’ has been met with such praise from fans of the Irish five-piece as it maintains the integral elements that have gained worldwide fame for the group.
