UNDERGOING a lengthy layoff with various members embarking on solo endeavours, electronica indebted outfit Hot Chip have previewed numerous cuts from their new album, with each one being met with a great deal of approval and only served to stoke the fire of hype surrounding their forthcoming record.

With no one track bearing much resemblance to the one that preceded it, this trend has continued on the remarkably sedate ‘Burning Up.’With autotuned vocals that land somewhere between Discovery era Daft Punk and Kanye West’s 808’s and Heartbreak, the track’s introductory period sees Alexis Taylor’s pensive delivery depict an air of teenage restlessness and wanderlust, proclaiming an urge to ‘party hard but sleep long and late.’

Ramping up the tempo ever so slighty with the addition of a swirling vortex of synth and a simplistic yet effective beat, ‘Burning Up’ has the potential to become a mainstream crossover hit in the vein of ‘Over And Over’ or ‘Ready For The Floor’

Hot Chip’s latest record Why Make Sense? will be released on 18th May 2015 via Domino Records, whilst those looking to catch the band on tour can do so on the dates listed below.
