KING
Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have shared their new track ‘Gamma Knife’, with a music video just as mysterious as their body of work.

The video to ‘Gamma Knife’ is what a folklore music video would be like – the exceptions here being that King Gizzard have turbo-charged their take on acid psych as if there was a Hawkwind renaissance. It’s perhaps their most aggressive and hard-hitting release yet, and the orbiting video couldn’t be more apposite: their music doesn’t make sense, and their videos don’t make sense either. But that’s rather orthodox in the world of King Guzzard & the Lizard Wizard.

The Australian band have penned eight albums since 2012, marking their prolific territory on the different genres that they claim to be: surf, acid, psych, krautrock, raga rock – you name it. Their new album Nonagon Infinity will be released on 29th April 2016 through Heavenly Recordings. Fittingly, the band will be releasing an “infinitely looping LP” on nine-sided vinyl. They will play London’s Brixton Electric on the 8th September.
