WEAVES
have announced their eponymous debut album, and have shared the lead single ‘One More’, which features mysterious, angular guitar lines and a sense of general chaos in its two-and-a-half minutes of glory.

Lead singer Jasmyn Burke described the band as “raw”, and while that type of illustration is regularly overused, she couldn’t be any more correct. ‘One More’ has that compressed garage rock tone, with comparisons to Pixies rife: quick-fire guitar licks, similar lyric phrasing, and a song that could easily be paralleled to the ramshackle ‘Something Against You’. The unusual guitar signatures of Weaves are comparable to Glasgow’s own Casual Sex, who were rather abstruse in the respect of unusual lyrics and wonky guitar hooks.

Weaves will be released on 17th June 2016 through Memphis Industries, and the band are due to play SXSW, Latitude and End of the Road festivals.
