LIAM GALLAGHER has unveiled the second track to be taken from his highly anticipated solo album As You Were.

A far more sedate affair than bolshy lead single ‘Wall of Glass’, ‘Chinatown’ features finger-picked acoustic guitars, hazy melodies and another stellar vocal performance from the iconic frontman. Delivered over a steady drum beat, the track finds Gallagher in a more reflective mood as he throws out the post-Brexit line: “Wanted to be free man. What’s a European? Me, I just believe in the sun.”

Yesterday, the singer took to Twitter to reveal the track-listing of As You Were, tweeting the title of each track one by one. Four of the album’s tracks were produced by Adele/Beck collaborator Greg Kurstin while the remaining songs were created under the helm of Dan Grech-Marguerat, who has previously worked with Radiohead, Circa Waves and Mumford & Sons.

Gallagher performed a host of new material during his set at Glastonbury over the weekend. He has a number of festival appearances still lined up over the summer including Benicassim and Reading & Leeds. His debut album As You Were is due for release on 6th October.
