AHEAD of his highly anticipated sold-out gig at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro in a couple of weeks, Liam Gallagher has unveiled a brand new video set in one of the city’s most legendary venues.

The former Oasis frontman hit the headlines earlier this month when he opened up a competition for fans to become involved in the video for his latest single ‘Come Back To Me’. Teaming up with director Shane Meadows, also known for his work on This Is England, Dead Man’s Shows and Stone Roses documentary Made In Stone, the shoot marked Gallagher’s return to the place that started it all off for him; the place where Oasis where famously signed by Alan McGee back in 1993.

Opening up with the crowd bellowing out ‘As You Were’, the monochrome clip sees the iconic frontman take to the King Tut’s stage and firing through a performance of the new single before being mobbed by adoring fans outside the venue.

Of the choice of venue, Liam said: “It was great to return to the scene of the crime, King Tut’s, where it all began and the fans never disappoint.”

Meadows continued: “I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my working life. His fans are incredible, the band and his team are a joy to work with and Liam was an absolute gent from beginning to end. I feel very honoured to have been asked and I’m very proud of what we made.”

Gallagher, who released his acclaimed debut album As You Were earlier this year, returns to Glasgow on Monday 4th December for a sold out show at the SSE Hydro. Riding his recent wave of success all the way into 2018, he already has a series of massive gigs lined up next year including a newly announced headline slot at Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival on Saturday 30th June.
