‘SUPERMAN’ is the latest euphoric release from West Lothian’s Mark Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves.

Fresh off the back from touring with Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi, the five-piece reiterate their reputation for infectious melodies combined with spiralling guitar jangles.

Renowned for vibrant live performances, the energy that fans have come to appreciate from the Scottish indie-pop outfit is translated within ‘Superman’ through sing-along hooks and an epic chorus. Frontman Mark Sharp comments on the optimistic imagery surrounding the lyrics: “‘Superman’ is about being there for someone no matter what. The ‘electric skies’ are representative of the hard times and turmoil that life brings, but this song is a message for the people around me who are finding it tough that I’ll have their back”.

Boasting influence from the likes of Foals, Bombay Bicycle Club and Stereophonics, sold out headline shows at King Tut’s and Saint Luke’s as well as festival performances at TRNSMT, Tenement Trail and Edinburgh Summer Sessions precedes an inevitably exciting 2023 for the West Lothian lads.
