IT’S a song that has done the rounds on Model Aeroplanes’ set for a couple of years now, and since then they have rocketed to what they consider as something like heaven.
Therefore this reminiscent release is no surprise that this Dundonian four-piece has experienced such a trajectory, playing the likes of T in the Park and securing major slots at many regional festivals. ‘Whatever Dress Suits You Better’ emphasises that Model Aeroplanes’ sound has gotten fuller and funkier. The riffs are tropical and the rhythm section, complete with cowbell, is danceable and worthy of head-bopping.
The new single is taken from their latest EP, Something Like Heaven, which also features the mesmerising title track. ‘Whatever Dress Suits You Better’ will be released on 8th July 2016 through Island Records.
