three piece with a sound so imposing that it’s likely the envy of many larger bands, Night Beats have built their name on their mastery of heady, raw and rambunctious rock ‘n’ roll.

Hailing from Texas, the band have found themselves supporting a slew of monumental bands such as Black Lips and The Jesus And Mary Chain yet create material so emphatic that it’s not unlikely that they’ll be held in such high esteem by the time they reach the back nine of their career.

Preparing to unleash Who Sold My Generation? their third full length album and first on the Heavenly Recordings imprint, they’ve graced us with the engulfing and understatedly cool ‘No Cops’.

A track which exudes an intangible energy from the very first chord, ‘No Cops’ sees the trio turn in a psyched out slice of rock that recalls inventive blues of The Doors circa Morrison Hotel alongside the tripped out style of Jefferson Airplane. While steeped in a bygone era, ‘No Cops’ manages to avoid becoming mere pastiche or revivalism and pushes the traditions of R&B in a magnetic new direction.

With no official date revealed for their new album’s release, the band have announced an extensive European tour which features a date as Glasgow’s renowned 02 ABC.
