PREPARING to release his first solo album since 2009’s Grace/Wastelands at the outset of next month, Pete Doherty is in fine voice on the new track ‘Kolly Kibber.’
The third new composition which has been revealed ahead of the upcoming Hamburg Demonstrations, this latest morsel of new music possesses that rich and convivial sound that seems to only resonate from the guitars of Doherty and his Libertines bandmate Carl Barat. Soaked in his rogueish charm, ‘Kolly Kibber’ has all of the hallmarks of an archetypal ode to misspent youth and its title nods towards a character in Graham Greene’s classic novel ‘Brighton Rock.’
Hamburg Demonstrations will be unveiled on the 2nd December,
