Wickerman-Primal-Scream

AFTER announcing that dates will be cancelled because of Bobby Gillespie’s fall off a stage, Primal Scream are releasing a new single, ‘100% or Nothing’ to tide fans over what will be a quiet period for the band during the hectic summer festival season. Even though dates throughout mainland Europe have been cancelled, Primal Scream are still scheduled to play Electric Fields in August. Result!

The new single, taken from their latest album Chaosmosis, features the sisterly trio of HAIM and the sort of 90’s dance track you would expect to see on a Trainspotting soundtrack.

If you can’t get enough of its sub-four minutes of pure disco goodness then Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre has created a nine-minute psychedelic remix of the track. Gillespie has said that “Anton’s mix brings out all the slow motion, claustrophobic, endlessly crushing, paranoid dread of living together, alone, apart… we love it, thank you Anton.”

‘100% or Nothing’ will be released on 29th July 2016 on the band’s own First International label through Ignition Records. There will be a special clear 12” vinyl release including the single and Newcombe’s extended remix.
