MARKING what they say is the first release of many this year, Edinburgh’s Retro Video Club have shared ‘Checkmate’.
Encapsulating all that they do best, the track is a high energy of slice indie rock that hurtles through big singalong choruses and guitar-driven hooks. Whenever festivals return, it’s one that’s sure to go down a storm with their increasingly fervent fanbase.
No strangers to playing at packed out venues, the Edinburgh outfit are absolutely raring to go if this new single is anything to go by.
