AN artist that is embedded into British culture and has attained a far-reaching fanbase, Richard Ashcroft is an elder statesmen of the modern industry and sent torrents of excitement through the world when his return was announced.
Set to release his first album 2010’s United Nations Of Sound, the former Verve vocalist has continued to tease his forthcoming new record with the vibrant ‘Hold On.’
A shimmering pop number which is accented by luscious strings, ‘Hold On’ sees Ashcroft continue to wax lyrical about the many ills of this world over a canvas of exuberant synths and percussion. When listened to alongside the previously released ‘This Is How It Feels’, it seems evident that his new album will see Ashcroft stride into a poppier realm than ever before.
His new solo album These People will be released on the 20th May.
