AHEAD of their sold out headline show at King Tuts tonight, Sixpeace have dropped their debut EP ‘Try To Understand This’.

Set to make their Tenement Trail debut later this year, the band formed during the first lockdown of 2020 through their shared love of Vistas and have gone from strength to strength ever since.

Working through line-up changes and the strange circumstances in which they formed, the new EP is a brilliant introduction for those not yet acquainted.  Absolutely brimming with hooks, it’s a scrappy but relentlessly infectious collection – one bursting with youthful exuberance, fun and a genuine desire to have a good time.

With male and female vocalists going to and fro over quick rhythms and raw guitars, it’s fizzing with catchy pop melodies – particularly on ‘Mixed Up’ and ‘See Before You Go’ – while gentle ballad ‘Sleep Song’ slows the pace down and brings a new dynamic to the EP.

Citing a love for modern indie bands with a punky edge, it’s a promising first step that indicates massive potential.

Tune in below.
