AFTER a year of hype and word of mouth propaganda, Manchester outfit Splint have finally shared their first single ‘Military Procedures’.

Newly signed to Nice Swan Records, the renowned tastemakers who also discovered Courting, Sprints, English Teacher, Prima Queen and more, the band have made their presence known with an intermittent run of intense live shows – each as compelling as the next.

And new single ‘Military Procedures’ channels all of this live energy and then some – it’s formidable post-punk delivered with cold precision and confidence, led by a commanding spoken word lead vocal and a barrage of dueling guitars.

“Military Procedures is in essence a song about the confusion of adolescence and the acceptance of your own failings, each of which lead you to the circumstances you find yourself in,” says Jake Bogacki.

“Five years was always the given quota by education establishments to judge where and what you will be after you’d finished, to create a sense of urgency to be something. What’s the end goal of all that?”
