ST. JASPER, moniker of London singer-songwriter Jamie Johnson, has announced his arrival with the release of his invigorating debut single ‘Driveway.’
Produced by Louis Milburn of East London collective Folly Group, the futuristic track sounds like it has come straight from the movie ‘Drive’. Channelling M83 with its pulsating synth soundscapes and bouncing rhythms, it’s a magnetic debut single that finds Johnson turning his night-time anxieties into an illuminating and forward-facing banger.
“’Driveway’ is about lying awake at night struggling to sleep,” Johnson says. “There’s something about lying in bed in the dark that makes every noise seem louder, and every little worry gets blown out of proportion.”
