EDINBURGH indie rock trio Swim School have shared their latest riotous single ‘Delirious’ ahead of their second EP ‘Duality’, due to release 2nd June via LAB Records.

Lyrically tacking misogynistic behaviour experienced on tour, the group’s heaviest- sounding release to date documents singer Alice Johnson’s encounters with sexist behaviour from sound engineers.

Johnson comments on the overall theme of their upcoming ‘Duality’ EP, “The songs are based on experiences that I have gone through at a certain point in my life. The fact you can feel contrasting feelings at the same time can be confusing and take a toll on you mentally, but I find that writing is the best way to cope with it.”

Recorded at London’s Narcissus Studios with Iain Berryman (Wolf Alice, Beabadoobee), ominous guitar tones provide a genre-spanning sound that blends the driven heaviness of alt-rock and the vulnerable haze of alt-pop love songs.

Swim School hit the road in July supporting softcult before performing at the King Tut’s Stage on Friday 7th July at Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival.
