ECCENTRIC indie pop outfit Tall Poppies are to release their new quirky single ‘Cat Got Your Tongue?’ on 27th January 2015, which projects the twin duo in a different light and emphasises that not all indie has to verge on similar.
The new track, which was inspired by a Jane Austen novel and a spontaneous night out in London, exhibits a lively violin part, which jogs along side the weaving vocal harmonies of twin sisters Susan and Catherine. The song as a whole exemplifies their do-it-yourself musicianship, and has the unusual aspect of individualism and perfectionism in the midst of the indie genre.
The duo will play a launch party for the single in Dalston on the 27th January. Listen to the track below:
