CURRENTLY building up to the release of their long-awaited debut album Utopian Dreams, The Imagineers have shared a new single called ‘If I See You Again’.

The track sees Stevie Young embrace his flare for storytelling once again over sunny melodies and swaying rhythms. A remarkably different offering compared to the lead title track that we heard back in November, the song is more akin to their earlier material; encroaching upon a west coast surf sound that highlights their vintage sensibilities and pop inspiration. Armed with his distinctive Scottish twang, Young’s delivery takes centre stage over vibrant guitar lines, acoustic strums and a singalong chorus before a stirring middle eight.

With a sound that is uniquely their own, The Imagineers have promised an intriguing debut album that takes inspiration from many different genres and influences. Ready to finally unleash their full potential, Utopian Dreams will come out on 24th February via Hit The Light Records.

With great excitement surrounding their return, the band played their first live show in four years over the weekend at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh. They are now due to play The Old Hairdresser’s in Glasgow on 12th February with support from Barrie-James O’Neill and Declan Welsh & the Decadent West.
