HAILING
from East Kilbride, The Lapelles are an alt-rock five piece that are intent on establishing themselves as contenders amid Scotland’s ever fruitful music sphere.

Having spent the majority of 2015 gigging incessantly and even accruing a support slot with the lauded Baby Strange during their gig at Glasgow’s St Luke’s, their name is beginning to carry weight behind it and is enabling them to gain more of a foothold in the industry.

With support from outlets such as Amazing Radio and with their double AA single officially released to the masses today, the band have revealed the dizzying video for the brash ‘Seventeen’.

Beginning with a stirring and boisterous riff that exudes self assurance in their material, ‘Seventeen’ is a incorrigible slice of modern rock ‘n’ roll that possesses a sense of joyful malevolence that is all too often avoided. Whilst the track undoubtedly possesses some of the radio friendly tropes that are regularly cited in the music of indie outfits such as Catfish And The Bottlemen, Little Comets and The Sherlocks, there’s the welcomed addition of sneering, post-punk indebted aggression which sets them apart from the pack.

The band are set to launch their ‘Snakehips/Seventeen’ single at Glasgow’s revered Broadcast on Monday 28th December.
