WITH each release, Theo Bleak draws us deeper into her unique world. A place that is as warm and enchanting as it is wistful and poignant, it’s almost impossible not to be entranced by the first note.
Following on from the release of ‘Paper’ and ‘Feels Like Rain’, the Dundee songwriter has today unveiled the gorgeous ‘Winter Song’. Full of melancholia, there’s a raw quality to the track – both in the singer’s emotive vocal display and in the song’s lo-fi production. “Winter’s got its hands around my neck again” she sings over plaintive guitar riffs, as the track soars to heights of understatedly anthemic.
A thing of real beauty, it’s the perfect accompaniment to the cold, winter months ahead.
