BARELY two months since the release of his last EP, Tom A. Smith has shared an emphatic new single called ‘Like You Do’.

The young artist has experienced an incredible ascentover the last few months, including being selected by Elton John to perform at his British Summer Time show at Hyde Park, appearances at Glastonbury, Barn On The Farm, and the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Cementing himself as one of the nation’s most exciting songwriters, he imbues his indie anthems with rich array of vibrant textures and influences – his inventive approach standing him apart from many of his contemporaries.

On this occasion, he opts for a gritty, swaggering approach – imbuing the track with a strong, brooding atmosphere. Driven by a sure-footed rhythms, his knack for melody shines bright – while the input from Miles Kane does not go amiss (the Last Shadow Puppets man is credited as co-writer and co-producer).

Speaking of the track, Tom said:”Working with Miles Kane was the most incredible experience. I already had the bones of a good tune that I’d been playing live solo over the last few tours. He added this incredible soaring chorus and suddenly it turned into a song from a Tarantino movie soundtrack. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done and I’ve never felt prouder of anything. I’m really excited for the world to hear it because it already sounds like a classic to me!”

Already gaining support from Radio 1 for his growing songbook, we can’t wait to see this track live at Tenement Trail.
