twilight sadA band that had already established themselves as one of the finest groups to emanate from Scotland in decades, The Twilight Sad have amassed even more acclaim following 2014’s Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave: both from a domestic and international standpoint. Reaching the end of their promotional run for the record, they have released the menacing video for ‘It Never Was The Same.’

One of the most heartrending and poignant tracks to be taken from the album, ‘It Never Was The Same’ begins with an eerie synth and a foreboding beat before James Graham’s haunting vocals enter the fray; resulting in one of the most tender deliveries of his career thus far.

Directed by Hand Held Cine Club, the equally mesmerising video centers upon a woman adorned all in white dragging a middle aged man through the street whilst a briefcase is handcuffed to his wrist. Throughout its duration the woman remains despondent, emotionless and entirely focused upon the task at hand before reaching her unexpected destination.

Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave is available now via FatCat, whilst those looking to catch the band perform this summer can do so at this year’s T In The Park at Strathallan Castle.
