SELLING out Glasgow’s Òran Mór last week were London-duo Public Service Broadcasting. In something of an upgrade from their slot at ABC2 at the beginning of the year, a good atmosphere prevailed as the band kicked into opener London Can Take It.

Urging fans to refrain from use their phones for photography during the gig, the set had epic moments where pockets of sound took over, surrounding you and the haunting venue to powerful limits. And as always with Public Service Broadcasting gigs, the set and light show was strong. Lighting at times, helped bring you back to the days of black and white broadcasting, a tremendous achievement and additional string to the duo’s bow.

Popular tracks Signal 30 and Spitfire were well received with the amped-up crowd, proving Public Service Broadcasting and their quirk is anything but short-lived.
