The band: Kieran Shudall (guitar / vocals), Joe Falconer (guitar), Sam Rourke (bass) & Sian Plummer (drums) make up Liverpool’s Circa Waves . Already gaining justified-hype since the release of their debut LP in December 2013, Circa Waves are fast-becoming the cult band of 2014.
The sound: Stuck In My Teeth, released on Monday March 31st 2014 on Virgin Records, was produced by Jim Abbiss and recorded in their native Liverpool. The single, available on 7” and download, also features the B-Side 100 Strangers.
The video: The video, directed by Abbie Stephens, who has also recently worked with Primal Scream and Temples, is a ‘one-shot’ film with no subsequent edits or post-production work.
The lowdown: They released their debut single, Get Away / Good For Me, on Transgressive Records in early December and having just completed a headline tour of the U.K. they were recently announced as part of the forthcoming NME Awards Tour alongside Interpol, Temples and Royal Blood on 18th May in Glasgow’s 02 Academy.
