In the latest instalment of our ‘In Isolation With…’ series, we caught up with singer-songwriter kitti.

1. What’s the last thing you said in the band Whatsapp?

“Hope y’all are doing okay! I’m here if anyone wants to chat shit”

2. How do you feel about the current state of the world and the effect that it will have on Scottish music industry?

“These are strange times for us all. I’ve been finding it really very difficult to deal with in recent days and my mental health has definitely taken a knock. I think things can only turn positive in the end. Glasgow’s music scene in particular is stronger than ever and everyone is pulling together to see this through. I think we should be supporting all of the venues that we know and love that have been struggling during this. They’re what this city’s music scene is built on. Without them, we have no place to express ourselves.”

3. What 5 Scottish bands are on your isolation playlist?

“Russell Stewart, corto.alto, Jack Calum Richardson, MOY and Megan Airlie!”

4. When the world gets back to normal, what’s the first thing you are going to do?

“The first thing I’ll be doing will be meeting my pals for pints in the pub! I’ll take a good long walk around the city and be thankful that it’s all over. I will never again take for granted what I had and enjoyed before all of this. This has been life changing for everyone on this planet, and I hope that this will make us appreciate how lucky we all are.”

5. What’s next for kitti?

“You can expect some new songs in the coming months. I’ve been working really hard and it’s almost time to let loose! I’m super excited to see where we all are by the end of the year! kitti xx”
