Kasabian confirm departure of lead singer Tom Meighan

KASABIAN have announced that lead singer Tom Meighan has left the band after suffering with personal issues.

In a statement posted on social media, the band confirmed that the decision had been a mutual one with Meighan wanting to focus all his energies “on getting his life back on track”.

The statement reads “Tom Meighan is stepping down from Kasabian by mutual consent. Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track. We will not be commenting further.”
