Paulwellerslamsleafordmods750THE BAND: The Modfather will forever be considered one of Britain’s prodigal sons following his part in the punk movement of the 70’s as lead singer of The Jam, and as anticipation grows around the follow up to the highly acclaimed Sonik Kicks we can only fathom at what he has got in store next; previously stating this album is “The best he’s done”.

THE SOUND: New track ‘White Sky’ gives us a bit of an incline; powerful effects, driven guitar complimented by a Zeppelin-esque drum rhythm and his distinct vocal tone. The song screams classic rock and this is reinforced by the guitar solo followed by a breakdown sequence. It makes for fascinating listening and looks set to be a hit amongst his loyal fans.

THE VIDEO: The black and white video features Weller and his band in the studio performing the new track. Smoking fags and with sunglasses on, the modfather effortlessly oozes cool, as always.
