JUST two weeks away from the release of their new Kevin Parker-produced album The Weather, Australian psych-rock outfit POND have unveiled an intergalactic style video for their swirling synth-heavy number ‘Paint Me Silver’.
The animated clip directed by Alejandro Miguel Justino Crawford is a typically subversive and eye-catching affair which captures a weird and wonderful alien dance party that is taking place in the shadow of an impending nuclear war
The exceedingly trippy affair works in perfect harmony with the psychedelic track which is said to be one of the biggest pop moments on the forthcoming album. Full of swirling synths and falsetto vocals, it’s a dreamy and lysergic number which once again highlights the ambitious and diverse direction the band have taken with this upcoming release
The Weather is slated for release on 5th May through Marathon Artists. The band will embark on a short UK tour later this year and will arrive in Glasgow to play the Art School on 19th June.
