‘ON Your Side’ is the latest offering from English breakthrough act The Last Dinner Party, coincided with the announcement of debut album ‘Prelude To Ecstasy’ releasing February 2nd.

Inviting listeners on a journey of infectious leftfield anthems, The Last Dinner Party are one of the hottest new acts produced by the UK in recent years. Their introduction of delicately more-ish indie-rock has propelled them to heights most would consider impossible within only a two year career, yet here they are with another refined hit.

Produced by James Ford in London, the LP will showcase breakthrough singles, “Nothing Matters”, “Sinner”, “My Lady of Mercy” and the recently available “On Your Side”. Formed in 2021, the dark guitar-pop group have seen an incredible rise with sold out headline shows and a performance at a packed-out Woodsies tent at the renowned Glastonbury festival.

The band comment:On Your Side is a love song with its hands tied. It’s about being so devoted to someone that no matter what they do, no matter how much it hurts, how much you know you should leave, you can’t escape. The outro came from a wonderful improvised moment in the studio; James Ford had this synthesiser that warped and delayed and played with the fabric of whatever you put into it. So Aurora and Abigail sat in the studio after lunch and improvised some piano and vocal lines, letting the sounds build on top of each other until that final gasp. It turned into this wrenching shimmering section that sounds like the end of a poisonous relationship; dissolving, fragmenting, painful but also ultimately freeing.”

The remaining months of 2023 are shaping up to be a huge success for the quintet with a Hozier support slot gracing iconic venues across the world in the form of Velodrome in Berlin, London’s Wembley Arena, Bowery Ballroom in New York (sold out) and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. Equipped with themed dress codes for shows, their loyal fanbase never fail to rise to the task in creating an immersive realm of shared escapism.
